Prejourney

The Institute of International Education provides teachers with opportunities to participate in professional exchanges with other countries. Beginning March 27, 2007 I will be joining 23 other educators on a two-week journey to Saudi Arabia. The trip will begin in Texas where we will meet with the sponsors of the program at the Aramco US headquarters.

While in Houston, participants will be given an orientation to the program, learn some details regarding culturally appropriate behavior in Saudi Arabia and receive the itinerary details.

Hoping to get students involved, I am including a blank outline map of the country. This map could be used to record the cities that I attend while journeying through Saudi Arabia.

This is a great site for information on Saudi Arabia and in particular the House of Saud.

I have no idea if I'm doing this posting correctly, but I just wanted you to know that I'm thinking of you and hoping that you're having a wonderful time.
