I arrived in Houston at about 5:00 and was greeted in the hotel by Catherine and Joshua, the program coordinators who work for IIE (the Institute for International Education). A welcome bag with Texas goodies awaited us; we then enjoyed a beautiful steak dinner and a round of introductions by the participants along with some details about the program.
