Al-Hasa City---Monday, April 2, 2007 part 1

This morning we drove about 1 hour away from Dhahran to

Al-Hasa City. We visited Jabal Al Garah National Park where

we saw some amazing caves the color of the desert sand.

Back in the tour bus to a little tiny area where original arts and crafts were being made. We saw a pottery maker who allowed customers an opportunity to try their hand at the wheel.

Hi Mrs. Humphrey from Mrs. McK's class.
We loved seeing the cave pictures and had some questions. How beig (deep, long) were the caves--they look gigantic! What are they made of (rock, sand)? If you were claustrophobic could you go into the cave? What were they used for--are they sacred, where they hiding places? Did anything/anyone ever live in them? Who discovered them?
